Sprint TV Live Delivers MobiTV Content
Posted on Monday, September 05 @ 05:40:59 MDT by Christopher_Price

Sprint PCS Sprint is now offering MobiTV channels as a premium channel selection on top of Sprint TV. The $9.99 premium channels are added to the $9.99 for Sprint TV, and then combine both the Sprint TV and MobiTV lineups.

About a year ago, Sprint PCS Info reported MobiTV's internal unclear state regarding how to proceed offering MobiTV services on the Sprint TV platform.

The combination is not perfect though, it appears that there is an exclusivity agreement between NBC and MobiTV that bars NBC Mobile and MSNBC as well as CNBC from being offered. However ABC News as well as the FOX News Channel (already offered on Sprint TV) remain available.

This marks the first carrier-provided offering of premium TV channels above and beyond their standard lineup of content. Verizon also plans to launch live TV channels later this year on their VCast service.
