Sprint, Nextel Ads Converge on Day 1
Posted on Wednesday, August 24 @ 04:23:15 MDT by Christopher_Price
Sprint PCS It's pretty much a no-brainer at this point, but Sprint has begun wrapping up their existing television ad campaigns in preparation for the "Day 1" launch on September 2nd. Both the existing (and effective) Business is Beautiful and Fair & Flexible ad series are on their last set of ads, which will run through September 1st.

Likewise, the Nextel "Summer of Savings" ads are expected to also end on September 1st. Sprint Nextel has not disclosed their September 2nd launch ads to-date, despite demonstrating many different possible post-merger ad series internally.

Mr. Price - any idea of what the new adverts will look like? Will they be maintained as separate brands or be the official new Sprint-Nextel? It seems they have a lot of explaining to do to make sure customers understand the new company (iDEN / CDMA interop, etc). thanks, Josh
