Cingular Raising The Bar On Being A Customer
Posted on Saturday, May 21 @ 00:07:31 MDT by Christopher_Price

Cingular is about to launch new plans, set to take effect at the end of the month, and they appear to hold true even to their promotional phase "raising the bar". It has been disclosed that Cingular will no longer offer a $29.99 national plan, making the entry nationwide plan cost raise to $39.99.

This follows the trend after merging with AT&T; Wireless of raising baseline service prices; Cingular immediately removed AT&T; Wireless's $19.99 price-point from future service offerings, holding to Cingular's $29.99 minimum price for service.

However, Cingular will lower their data charges. MEdia Net Unlimited will be lowered to $19.99 a month, as well as increasing the included data with their MEdia Works plan to 5 MB (Cingular used to include unlimited data in their MEdia Works bundle) for $19.99 a month. Overage rates for data will decrease back to $.01 per kilobyte as well.
